The Tower of Babel story from the Bible is one that struck me when I was young. I’ve always remembered that story. When the internet started getting popular around 20 years ago and I saw the pride that people took in their technology, putting trust in computers instead of God, I thought to myself back then that we were building ourselves another tower. And we are now experiencing the same result; distrust and division.

Everyone said that the new technology would connect us, but it has done quite the opposite. We are dividing up into groups of people we agree with and separating apart from those who don’t share our beliefs. We are more divided and further away from God and we are paying a heavy price for that.
